Sauly e Mick
Two teenagers, Sauly and Mick, meet while hitchhiking and continue their journey together. Both want to reach the ocean, which is a few thousand kilometers away. After getting a ride from the driver of an old truck, the two stop for the night at a motel where a man named Landolfi tries to scare Sauly by telling him he has sold his guardian angel to a man named Miller from the town of Prince. The owner of the motel bar locks the two teenagers in and promises them a sumptuous breakfast the next morning, but the two, feeling uncomfortable, escape through the window.
During their journey, Sauly falls ill. Mick, carrying him on his shoulders, manages to carry him to a remote farm where Sauly will receive medical attention. To pay the doctor's bills, Mick begins working on the farm. As soon as Sauly recovers, the two resume their journey. Convinced that he has fallen ill because he no longer has a guardian angel, Sauly intends to travel to Prince in search of Miller. Once in town, the two discover that almost everyone there is named Miller and react very grimly to the question about their guardian angel.
Leaving the town of Prince, the two head towards Botango and along the way meet Krogh, who travels only on foot, but they soon separate. Finally reaching the beach, Sauly and Mick take a dip, unaware that they are on private property. The owner offers them a snack, but then the two set off again. After spending time with a group of teenagers squatting in a house on the beach, the two accidentally encounter Landolfi again, and Sauly tells him she wants her guardian angel back. Landolfi doesn't recognize the boy he pranked, and a fight ensues, during which Sauly hits his head on a rock and is knocked unconscious. Landolfi offers no assistance and runs away. Mick takes Sauly to a wooden house and tries to care for him until he realizes his friend is dead. Instead of a funeral, the boy chooses to cremate Sauly by setting fire to the wooden house and watching the flames from afar.
