We start in episode 1 meeting Sam and Cole, two young gay teenagers who first met in high school and have just reunited after two years apart. They were immediate friends when they met, and quickly became more, part of a small but emotionally and romantically intertwined friend group, each with their own baggage: broken beginnings, trauma, parents who were too emotionally distant to their kid was invisible to ones that were way too close. They support one another and take care of another throughout this journey.
