Always at the Doorway
'N'importe ou qu'on soit,
On est a la porte' (No matter where one is, one is at the doorway....)
One of the gnomic utterances from 'Carnac', the poem by Eugene Guillevic (1907-77)
It is followed by
'On est a la porte,
On a l'habitude,
On ne s'y fait pas' (We are at the door, we are used to it, we cannot get used to it...)

I’m going now to close it.
