A Rare Beauty
The heartfelt cry of Gerard Manley Hopkins in 'The Leaden Echo and the Golden Echo' is
‘How to kéep—is there ány any, is there none such, nowhere known some, bow or brooch or braid or brace, láce, latch or catch or key to keep
Back beauty, keep it, beauty, beauty, beauty, ... from vanishing away?’
Well, no, which is a sadness among the many sadnesses of the world. Except for the images...the certain place, the certain time, the certain subject..and the certain photographer. They remain, waiting, as is my foolish fancy, for a look or a touch or a kiss. This is a selection of my favourite images which I love to look at.....their rare beauty...
You will see that 13 of my submissions have been deducted as Admin's customary 'Album Tax', which is a pity since they were beautiful. However, I hope you enjoy what remains.
