I get sad around this time of the year because 6 years ago tomorrow my Mother died ... colon cancer that metastasized in her liver. I was holding her hand when she crossed the bridge. I was crap that first year - cried all the time. I hardly cry anymore, except around March 13. I wish she could come back and take over Marlene's job. I love you mom and I'm looking forward to being with you again.
This was my second NBR and it was a lot of fun. I taped glow sticks to my bike and draped them on my body. There were thousands of naked people, including Trump and Putin on a tandem bike. I had not realized how HOT Putin is. Speaking of hot, Portland set a new record for heat that day. It was still in the upper 70's when I arrived at the fountain at about 10:30pm. The last stretch of the ride went through downtown. Both sides of the street were packed with hundreds of spectators for about 10 blocks. The entire ride lasted about an hour and 15 minutes. The most fun I've had naked in a long time.
