i would put the friendship before the desire. Does he know you are gay? Sounds like you have strong feeling for him. if you take the risk be ready for whatever because you do not know what might happen. Good maybe or not so good... tough choice to make.

Make some comments about like how some guys are really hot, and get all the chicks, if he's "str8." Then you can engage him in "like if no one would ever find out.......would you ever with a guy?" That kind of talk. You can admit to wanting to and see where it goes.......

some guys use homophobic terms to try and prove to them selves that there not gay and that they hate gays. Its a proven fact! so that could be why he says what he says. but be careful, you are who you are and some of your friends may not be able to handle that. One of my good friends cast me away because i'm gay and she (yes thats right a girl) can't understand that i'm still the same person i always was.

I'd say go with your feelings and hit him up when you guys are alone and the timing is right. If he rejects you than you gotta let him know about yourself and what you feel for him. Also let him know that you do not appreciate his references to gays as faggots and such. The worst thing to do is just not act on your emotions and I know from experience. Years later you will come to regret all those missed opportunities. And finally if he still rejects you than it would be best if you could just get over him cause you will only hurt yourself by just wishing and hoping he will come around to you.
