oh and the odd sheep

phew wot a scourcher ! currently 29C monday - the european heatwave is heading to the valley could reach 39C midweek with high humidity thrown in ...... that will keep the slugs at bay
Christ almighty Mop, you're handed a precious gift, and you gripe about it! I'd kill for 92 degree days. For the 3rd year in a row our Spring has been too cool and damp. I'm having to deal with powdery mildew on my tomato and squash plants. Wednesday we might, that's a big might, hit 75 then it's downhill all the way to Saturday with 65 degrees. It's almost July it should be in the 80s. It sucks, it really sucks. And besides I need it in the 80s and 90s just for overall personal comfort.
annu i`m from the uk - complaining about the weather is a requirment for living here ![]()

life in the valley - a plague of slugs and snails snacked on the broadbeans french beans courgettes - devestation in the salad plot - been a wet spring and early summer - now a four day heatwave 33c 92f forecast which is hot for the uk and with humidity not comfortable - global warming bros any ways the washing dries quick on the line preserving the modesty of the stalwart olive which has survived gale force winds heavy snow torrential rain drought and hot temperatures - i shall savour the hand full of beans shortly
so 15 french beans only 5 survived
and 8 out of 36 broad beans - not a good result
This is not a "bump' but just a strategic repositioning of this blog in the order of the succession of the blogs and to remind Sir Mop that his views of life and peas in the Valley (and above the Valley) often bring a gentle smile to those of us trapped out here in the non-valley world. A post a day keeps the gremlins away Mop! Oh, and does the "odd sheep" know he's odd????
obviously being a spy plane you cant see them unless they are landing of taking off
Oh, the plane?! I was thinking of the future wine (or grape jelly) made with the grapes from the grape vine??!!
I like plane spotting - but not american politics above my house - i dont think people realise that American politics is not only being conducted in the middle east but also in Europe the air base is not far away from the valley any way good to hear from you annu and yes that is an orchid just doing its own thing in a field i wslk rhrough on my way to work
Looking at the last plane pic reminds me of when I was a kid, keep in mind that was about 12 years after the asteroid killed the dinosaurs. Only at night and not often a strange sounding plane would fly over what was then navy housing for Barbers Point NAS to land at Hickam AFB, no lights on, darkened. Then the Soviets shot one down, it was a U2 Spy Plane. After the secret was out the thing would land in the daytime.
Jesus Mop, what the hell did you do to incur such wrath, make a snide comment about tRump's diaper/nappy needing a change or release pictures of him and his hookup with a 14-year-old on Epstein Island? Ah, so the whole valley has to pay for your actions, I get it. Oh, and do you have wild seasonal wild orchids in the valley? Tell me that's an orchid, not an iris.
I too thought Iris at first, then recanted that thought!
while trump and his dickheads are distracting americans from his crimes by picking fights the valley has to tolerate this regularly - bombers and spy planes interupting the peace well not bothered just piss off

mean while i have to deal with a sheep/goat/dog hybrid
