the producer Bleisch was a german  writer and filmmaker - you can find his biography on wikipedia and elsewhere - his films were made around the cities of Schwerin , Ludwigslust and Wismar - films of gay romps and adventures in various locations in the ruins, woods, lakes and beaches in the region of Mecklenburg - Vorpommern. The films were made 30 years ago in the mid 1990`s just a few years after the reunification of germany in a region of what had been part of the DDR East Germany -  they often feature recognisable locations i tried to locate the buildings and landscapes in these films by using google maps ,photo image search , street view satellite imageary and wikipedia etc  i thought i would give it a go - i was surprised but it took a long time .....

im sure your right - but i am not german and never visited this spot it would make a great spot to sunbathe in the heat of august by the lake if i happen to vist Schwerin

the film centers around a ruined castle by a lake where two boys explore and have fun with strangers

the ruins still exist but they were not a castle just a folly overlooking the schwerinersee
