What is Pornography?
Simply put in my opinion, pornography is photos, videos, paintings, sculpture, or any other form of media, that has the purpose and intent of getting it's viewer sexually aroused, which usually ends with the viewers sexual release. The common misconception I've seen in my life is that ALL forms of nudity are porn, which is simply not the case. But, like they say, beauty and art are at the eye of the beholder.
Since people could start painting, artists have been painting the nude form of men, women, and yes, even children. Go to just about any world famous art museum and you will see these dipictions up on the walls for everyone to see and admire, and nobody is screaming pornography.
There are many famous sculptures that are nude. To name to of my favorites: Apollo, and the Boy With Frog, which is in Venice.
And of course there are countless numbers of artistic nudes in photography. This stie has quite a collection in the albums if you can find them. There are also the photo shairing websites of DiviantArt and Flickr that have vast collections, and once upon a time (and still to some point) there was Tumblr. The problem with these sites is they run afoul with everyone who thinks that any amount of nudity is pornographic and endangering children.
Yes, I will agree that there have been, are, and always will be, the few bad apples that make life miserable for the rest of us who enjoy seeing this type of artwork. Though I probably have the resourses to do it, I don't want to deal with the daily headaches of dealing with the idiots who can't appreciate what they are looking at.
Tumblr was the first to fall when they lost a significant amount of traffic when they decided to ban pornography. That pretty much backfired because if you do a simple search on the platform it's not hard to come up with photos of the type that they say are banned.
PornHub then lost of good chunk of its users when it overhauled itself into more of a pay to download platform. At the peak that I was on the site, I had 2,000 followers and probaby twice that in my Favorites. After the overhaul: My favorites were nearly wiped out, and my followers were cut in half.
Then there was OnlyFan's, who actually stood up to those who were telling it how to run it's business when they all ready set to ban porn from it's site. This would have devistated financialy those who were in the porn industry and using the site to distribute their content.
Out of the devistation came the website NewTumbl.com. It's basically a Tumblr style website for those that want to post porn. It's major downsite though is I have yet to find the good artists that were on Tumblr. It's a shame that they didn't carry over.
I'm glad that GBT does exist. It's a very easy site to navigate around. I like that you can easily go back to see what was posted way back when without having to click the "next page" button 1,000 times. I just wish you could do the same for Wall Posts.
But what I like about it most, is that it is not JUST about the gay porn. There is the Gay Movies and the Gay Short Films sections where, for the most part, isn't nudity. And there is this Blog Section. I wish more people used it to see what's on their minds, and wish that you could publish some posts to your own profile rather than the main blog page. But I'll take what I can get.
Anyone who knows a bit about my history knows that I've done both artistic nudes, and pornographic nudes. I've made pornography both in front and behind the camera since I was an 18 year old senior in high school. I was never to much of a fan of being in front for the major studios in the area because it was too much work.
I like being the one behind the camera doing the recording for those that want to post to their OnlyFans, but want to do it in a more natural setting. Meaning lose all the fancy prep work, get down to it, do what you wanna do, and I'll move around with minimul interferrance.
I also like being the one to take the nude photos as well. I don't have a studio yet, but I have a few locations that I've scouted around the city that are great for both daytime and nighttime shoots. And yes, everyone is over 18 at the time of shooting.
So don't come to me freaking out that because I posted a YouTube video of a 13yo kid diving off a platform is pornography, because it isn't. If you consider that porn, than nearly every movie in the short films collection would need to be deleted. And I bet you nobody is the actual owner of the videos and pictures that get uploaded as the site makes you check that you are. If you want to complain to somebody, start with yourself, and clean up your own wall.
Yes, art and porn are in the eye of the beholder, but some people just need to get their head examined before going off on a bender.
Replying to someone who considers a video of a kid jumping off a diving board as CP is a waste of time. Society finds it acceptable to admire beauty in all forms ,except children. All because of 5% of the population are sexually attracted to children . Ironically they claim they are protecting the children.
