The Surgery Went Well

Great News!  The surgury on my knee went really well, the doctors said.  Early last week I had a bad fall that shattered the top of my right Tibia.  It was not a  break like normal, but a shatter like a rock through a window. The doctors said that because of how it shattered they couldn't just brace/cast it up to heal.  It was going to need a full knee replacement.  So I had the surgery first thing yesterday morning.  I guess the normal time for a sugery like that is about two hours.  The knocked me out just after 10am and when I work up the clock said 3:30pm.  I was like, Whow!


Now I have this crazy brace that goes from about my groin all the way down to my ankle to keep the leg straight.  They said that it is for healing the skin so it doesnt pull the stitches out.  I'll have it on for two weeks, but I can put full weight on it to get to the restroom and take short walks.


So, I'll be laid up for a while.  But I'd rather be able to walk again.

Now I'm reading how ya got your cast. Glad your okay, ya may be out but i bet ya still give out awesome blows!

Get well soon I tore my ACL many years ago so I understand what knee problems are like, glad it all went well and hope your back walking around as soon as you can.
