What is it with GBT and Politcs?
I've been on GBT for what 7 months now, and most if not all the blog posts have something political in them. May I ask the users who are posting these political blogs, why are you doing this? There is already enough tension in our lives due to a virus, and growing concerns over the world's safe being, however, people who choose to contribute to political blogs are causing a bigger schism in the GBT community. I ask once again for everyone to stop posting about politics, we have enough politics in our lives, and most of us come here to relax after a long day, however, and I personally am sick of it. Once in a while is ok, but every single day? Why? What pleasure does anyone get with arguing over their political views? So I ask this once more, please stop posting about politics or else. Please, for the greater good of GBT and our fellow users. If anyone has any comments, please feel free to message me. Thanks.

A good chunk of this site either lean right or are libertarian. Most liberals - including myself - hardly get involved in it.
We come here for an escape but some people occasionally love to bring it up.

It is all about exerting control, Yesyoursss. It really isn't control... but the mind perceives it as such. One upping until the opposition loses interest or steam in order to declare oneself the winner.

Making a point, especially as a boon to one's PoV and detrimental to another's, creates an increase of dopamine. Much like any addiction, it is craved and in some they go to further and further, often immoral lengths, to get that rush.
Maybe for online chats about politics etc. someone could create a discord.com account to do so? Pretty simple for any GTB subject. Like everything, there's an app for that.
LMAO, to the OP... this is probably the LEAST political I have seen this place in fecking aggggeeeessssss. This place is almost dead compared (RE political discussions) with last year. Also, if you don’t want to read it, scroll past it.
And welcome to the fall re-runs folks, where someone cries about political discussion here, others of us will mention the "scroll on by" option, and the blog will eventually get contentious enough that Nicky will either delete it or we'll get the "anyone talking about politics will be deleted" edict(which will last for a couple days)! Starting a blog to complain about political content here has no purpose but to incite discord and start pissing matches! Whining about political content that could easily be passed by is akin to kicking a skunk every morning and then bitching that you smell skunk all the time--as mentioned below remember that old Nancy Sinatra song, "This Finger's Made For Scrolling"!!

Have you tried using your scrolling finger? I use mine on probably 70% of the blogs on this site and I don't experience the state of mental stress and upset that you seem to.
