I have not commented until now because this so distresses me that I had to pause 10 to 15 times until I could stop sobbing to get thru this video . It is hard for me to look at Leo Ford because he was so prolific and he had an interesting life. His first lover was a young porn star like himself whose name was Jamie. You can goggle and there is a pool video of the two that will make you wet your pants. Interesting fact and I was surprised at this he was also lovers with Divine, who knew. He died of a motorcycle accident. Ford died July 17, 1991 when his motorcycle was struck by a truck making an illegal turn onto Sunset Boulevard. Ford suffered massive head trauma and died two days later. Craig Markle was riding with him but suffered only minor injuries. Ford was cremated and his ashes sent to San Francisco, where after a wake at Josie's Bar they were scattered near the Golden Gate Bridge. Craig  Markle was his last lover who is now a ghost.  He did not die of AIDS and he had set up a foundation with the money he had made to help people with AIDS. He was truly a great man. The truck driver was charged and convicted of  vehicular homicide. I've probably told you more than you wanted to know. 

Total nightmare.   That video is SO haunting.    It concerns me how the public seem to have forgotten about the seriousness of what happened and frankly still is as far as I'm concerned.    Especially if people somehow become unable to get their meds with the collapse of society, etc.     I also am infuriated with how some aspects of it was handled INCLUDING Reagan however it is really isn't his fault though it is a cute trick for people to try to pin on him because not much else can be done to bash him.     

To those of us live in age of AIDS it was age of hate and intolerance by those of Religious Right and those in Reagan white house.  I first loss close college friend to AIDS.  As former teacher have loss number of former students to AIDS.

I have seen this tribute several times and the tears flow to see so many young men having to die.  

So tragic seeing so many deaths from AIDS ,suicide and overdoses.Watching this literally took my breath away.

Add Kip Noll, died 2001, heart failure. Possibly Morgan, who disappeared under very questionable circumstances, amid a bunch of rumors about his death.

I didn't know Buster had died, or I'd forgotten it. 

So many, so young, so beautiful. There are many favorites among the group, Kurt Marshall's passing got to me. Yes, I remember a time where I was a going to at least one viewing a week. Fuck you Ronald Reagan.

Even sped up, it took me two sittings to complete the whole video.

It was a torrid time we lived through, those of us who lived - my first boyfriend died five floors above where I was working. The guy whom he left me for was no longer around; Cameron died alone after six weeks of pain, blindness and confusion. He was 26.

Seeing Scott O'Hara brought all the grief back.

That's sad. AIDS I can understand in most of those cases because of the time period and lack of meds. The heart failure might be attributed to Meth. I personally know of 2 people who developed congestive heart failure due to meth, their Drs told them so. One of them, I was right there within 5 feet when the Dr informed him. Both passed away, one just 6 weeks ago. The number of suicides is what really shocked me.

So many young men died way to young.
