It's a great thing that same sex marriages are legal in the USA for 5 years now. Still I'm surprised how much problems there stll are for the LGBTIQ+ community, not only in the States but all over the world. Sometimes it seems to me that what "we" won over the last years is slowly turned back. For example: Hungary & Poland, members of the EU are doing everything they can to make life as hard as possaible when you're not straight. Here in The Netherlands we celebrated that same sex marriage is legal for 20 years now (April 2001). That doesn't mean that we are fully accepted. A few years ago many right wing church leaders and politcians signed a Dutch version of the Nashville declaration. There is still a long way to go...
