There are 2 schools of thought on the subject of PrEP dosing.
1 pill taken on a daily basis for sexually active people or couples in a monogamous serodiscordent (1 poz, 1 neg) relationship.
Then for those who may on occasion (less than once a month) have sex there is what's called PrEP 2-1-1. Two pills taken 2 to 24 hours before sex then one pill 24 hours after the first dose followed by a second one pill dose taken 24 hours after the first one pill dose.

Having volunteered for 20 years for my counties local ASO, attending countless symposiums, seminars, meetings with pharma reps and dealing on a daily basis with clients with HIV/AIDS and or Hep C it has taken a lot of convincing from people a whole lot smarter and qualified then me to accept PrEP 2-1-1 and I'm pretty much on board with it. Though being the skeptic that I am I can't help think that there is an element of wishful thinking involved.
