I've never had a reaction to a flu shot, but when I get them sometimes the doctor will warn me that I might feel ill, because the flu shot contains a dead virus and your immune system might go on alert, making you feel sick. Its not really the flu you catch from the shot...just your body doing what it would do to kill what it thinks is a living virus.

I get the flu shot every year. Already got it this year cuz of covid concerns. I usually get a really sore arm and feel a little off the next day or so. Some people get other symptoms, like a slight fever, or muscle pains, but that's just your immune system at work, being fooled by the flu shot. Remember, you're getting a dead virus, so you don't actually catch the flu. Your body thinks it's a real threat and mounts a small war against it. That's why we take the flu shot anyway, to fool your body into an immune response and developing antibodies to fight the real flu. In years when I ended up with the flu anyway, been like 3 times in 15 years, it only lasted a day or two. I absolutely will not get the covid vaccine, though, until Dr. Fauci and Dr Birx say the vaccine meets scientific requirements for safety and effectiveness, but then I will.
