There was a little debate under a other blog post (https://www.gayboystube.com/blog/56879.html). I think the length of my answer justify a own blog post ^^

I think this is a complex topic. I would think the majority of the users here, don't want see actually children. Pedos primarily like pre-pubescent bodys. Boys who haven't pubes, growing oder matured penisses and testes, defined bones and muscles and don't produce sperm. All that things that happens during puberty. This is childporn. I think you all have a imagination what a child looks like and what it differs from a teenager, who wanks a growing cock. I don't understand what it is, what man like in little boys, because cum, cock, balls and ass are the sexual interesting parts on a mans body and on a child these party are underdeveloped and only barely functional. Weird and sick.

In germany, so the law differs between child and youthporn, where youthporn meant clearly not children, but underaged teens, who underaged means in relation to the maturity-age (the age, that a person must have, to inhabit his full rights and responsibilities) what is 18 in germany. And yes this is some sort of imaginated border, but for law you must set borders and markers for usability. I think, the majority would'nt think, that a boy, who produces sperm is in fact ready to work, sire children, has a family or have the mental horizon to think through this. But because with puberty came sexual interests and development of sexual desires und sexual experiences, there is a need to let them do experiences of their own, but also the need to regulate this.

There was in the 00-decade a heated law discussion in politic and society, because that it's normal that people in puberty have sex with eachother and that the law, that should protect teens, who exploring their sexuality, from matures, who want to abuse their inexperience or do sexual abuse on them generally, would unwillingly create a difficult situation in topic of teen on teen intercourse, of creating sexual material, for oneself or for the girl- or the boyfriend and naturally, not all pairs have the same age, that someone, who is seventeen and has a fifteen years old girlfrien have a problem, if he matures in 18. I think you got it. And generally parents likely most not happy if the daugthers (in cases of male teens, there is'nt that so a great topic) have a boyfriend, who is a little older (not likely a grandpa with a 18yo), but it is, if there is consent social acceptable, even if the younger part is underaged, because the teens, who on the regulary shool, have their graduation at 16 and mostly leave home to begin a apprenticeship, earn own money and live in a own flat, live a independent life. So the law in its reasoning relates instead of "teens haven't a sexuality and must be protect" to "they are vulnerable to sexual abuse and sexual abuse is the threat, that must be fight of"

So the main reason of create law to regulate the production and the spread of youth porn, that the politic is giving, relates to sexual abuse and the idea, that to create this material, there must be a form of sexual abuse.

That's understandable because from the production of child porn we know, that childrens, who don't understand what is going on, ddo things, that they don't understand, but they believe their trustfull familiars, who abuse them. You only must persuade them, to do, what you want. We have cases who children get frightend, to force them to participate or blackmailed in social desolate situations.

On photos and videos you don't see this and all child molesters can say, the child participates willingly and it's okay to avoid punishment, if you don't declare this for forbidden from the scratch.

And thats where the youthporn law comes from, too. The problem is the same, the production must be punished from the scrath or you have rabbit holes for molestors.

In the most cases I think wo could assume that, we have lonely boys who wanks for a special person or a special audience. They are alone in a private safespace, interacting naturaly or chatting or have friends around them. Age restrictions in the internet are loosely, one click and you are 18yo old and can use chaturbate as a user or producer or load up your videos to pornhub etc. I think it's in most cases not to debate, that are under 14yo much too young, becauste the body development is only in the beginning and not much interesting for people, who are interested in sex, how I stated in the beginning. But I don't see the implications on 15, 16 and older, that have not full (this lasts in cases until around 21) but well developed bodies. From the social acceptibilty I think it's debatable, if willingly performed and you as an consumer see this, probably many years later (I think most performers of the most clicked and reloaded amateur videos on this platform are already matured) you have to struggle with your conscience.

The law on the other hand is a thing.

The administrators have to protect themselves and us users. We all have to believe this is a legal site, with legal content and that illegal content is deleted, though no one who watch it willingly or randomly and thinking there is a content control and all is legal and fine (because, other posters mentioned this, you can't definitely call the age of all performers and I in my early twens still looked boyish and twinky, too) but do unintentionally a crime.

So I think it's right that Nick isn't about to confirm all videos in short time and delete videos or users, that get flagged, because it serves the safety of us all. Gay Communities in the internet and porn-videoplatforms (and the greater ones, haven't a human, that checks the content, and so there goes all sick filth online) are really honeypots of pedo-perverts and one of them is enough to spoil all people who he is in contact with, when it comes to investigations.

A other problem, that we seemingly never debate, are the implications, that we watch wanking videos, that circumstances of creating we don't know and sometimes explicitly secretly filmed footage. So we have stuff, that seems private oder semi-private, that have found its way in the internet and getting unbeknowst popular and spreading. And can't imagine, that the actors know that and wanted that. From a data protection and personality rights sight this is problematic and the more common case and threat on "youth porn" instead of real abuse.
