State laws are still too lenient even after a generation od MADD legislation. Penalties should be dramatically raised to automatic, mandatory prison terms for injuries involving alcohol. Any death resulting from alcohol involvement should be a mandatory 12 years prison term. Prevent insurance companies from issuing coverage to a simple DUI offense, without injury for one year; with injury 3 years; with death lifetime. Furnishing alcohol to minors, a mandatory 1 year prison term, with injury or death 2 - 20 years . MADD was an effective beginning, we now have to get serious this plague of deaths involving especially our youth.

Like having "drive-thru" package stores. Who's the genius that came up with this one? Or making beer bottle openers that you can put on your car key chain. I struggled w/ alcohol abuse for quite a while. (15 years sober now)! Trust me. It isn't an easy battle. Making it more easily accessible sure as shit doesn't help. For anyone still fighting?
