Were I to have funeral -- my cremation wouldn't really count- - BUT if I were: then I'd like to have the closing duet and aria to ACT ONE of La Traviata ....the one that talks of the 'ecstasy of the heart,' (Un di, felice, eterea). Justin T.

The Verdi Requiem conducted by Reiner with Price, Elias, Bjoerling & Tozzi
I'm kind of torn between the sacred and the profane, though I'm leaning toward the profane (obviously! I'm HERE, right??? ;) lol
anyway, here are my first choice (in 2 versions: Graham Chapman's funeral and the movie "Life of Brian" but, if you can get John Cleese to do my funeral, I'll take that one! ;) )
and my second choice, "Oh, Danny Boy"
and surprise third choice - a song that is very traditional, but 1 I really like, "Amazing Grace"
so, if we took a poll, which one would YOU choose?
I haven't done a funeral since the 70s...idk enough people still alive to come to mine...so won't have one.
Cremate me and flush the toilet. All I'm worth.
The Fray - Be Still
Amazing Grace - Bagpipes
Take My Breath Away is my pic for them , those who're alive and remain ....This is for my disincorporated shade
For them....
Of two minds on this - depending on whether I'm thinking of the music for my pleasure or the pleasure of those that live on .
