This is one of the biggest problems when you live in NY. Doesn't matter what site you go to looking for Mr. Right, friend requests flow regularly with no meaning what so ever. Everyone wants "Internet" friends and in reality, most people in NY are J/O queens hiding behind a computer screen who never have any intentions of meeting up for real time sex. Most in NY are "Afraid" of sex and why everyone ends up so sexually frustrated. Very sad what our society has turned into these days here. I had a few friends on here that I could talk openly and regularly to before I deleted my old account and haven't reconnected with most of them since I rejoined. I asked the same question some time ago and received about the same responses you have. Basically being a GBT 'Friend' is meaningless. There are a few people out here I feel comfortable messaging with questions and they'll usually reply. As I do if anyone asks me questions.
