I wasn't that much into his being "the greatest performer ever", some of his songs make me cringe.... (Including most of the albums THRILLER and BAD.) This is series shit that has infuriated me since 1993 when I was fifteen years old. There is SOOOOO much to this story that literally leaks over into other aspects of reality most people could never even begin to conceive of.
