Anthony Michael Bourdain (June 25, 1956 – June 8, 2018) RIP
Words usually fail me as you guys know first hand and perhaps to my own detriment at times. Sadly, humanity lost a beautiful soul today.
"It's been an adventure. We took some casualties over the years. Things got broken. Things got lost. But I wouldn't have missed it for the world."
"If I am an advocate for anything, it is to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. Walk in someone else's shoes or at least eat their food. It's a plus for everybody."
"I'm a decent cook; I'm a decent chef. None of my friends would ever have hired me at any point in my career. Period."
"When I was writing 'Kitchen Confidential,' I was in my 40s, I had never paid rent on time, I was 10 years behind on my taxes, I had never owned my own furniture or a car."
"To be treated well in places where you don't expect to be treated well, to find things in common with people you thought previously you had very, very little in common with, that can't be a bad thing."
Anthony Bourdain
One of his favorite songs...
Just call. I've been there and think most of us at some point in time have been there if we're honest. Your story is worth telling and might save a life.

Sorry for taking this blog elsewhere earlier. I agree with delong that this post is to honor Mr. Anthony Bourdain, a very special soul who showed us that everyone are individuals and respected them as such. Hopefully everyone can learn to live that kind of life and take people as special individuals irrespective of country, religion, or geopolitics. Rest in peace you very special soul.
So very sad ending to a wonderful man who tried his best to show the human side of people all around the world even in war torn and oppressed countries.. You were a wonderful human and will be sorely missed. May peace be with you. Maybe certain people here who label people as a group of n'er do wells can start looking at people as individuals instead but I'm pretty sure those haters who pretend to love and want harmony in the blogs won't even consider that and rather paint whole groups of people scum. Too bad you can't learn from Tony Bourdain.
