Mercury in Retrograde. Depressed, Anxious? Angry. Ride it out till April 15

Blog Last Activity 8 years ago 889 views 15 comments

Many of you may feel overly depressed, stressed out for no real reason and intensely angry. It is nothing to do with you, your co-workers, friends or family.

This time of the year is the worst time for the planet Mercury to do it's little trick, which is to go into retrograde. This means it appears to move backwards. Yes I am going to get ripped for the Voodoo talk, but others may think a bit and realize that there might be something to it. This time of the year we are all anticipating the end of the cold, the dark the inability to  fully accomplish what we set out to do, or even concentrate effectively. It hits everyone. And spring seems to be taking it's time getting here. We are on the cusp of this event which starts on the twenty-second and lasts till April 15. It is stronger before the event and weakens before the end.

What happens is the planets, normally moving in harmony have that harmonic balance broken when Mercury screws up the works. The planets, mainly the moon control the tides which means that to some extent, it controls us (most of us is water). If the tides are off-balance, so are we. Mercury has influences over other planets thereby having an influence on other things such as cell-phones and other communications devices, transportation and other infrastructure. Most importantly these planetary shenanigans control mood, decision making, impulsivity and emotion. Right now things are pretty intense, but give it two or three weeks and see if things don't change radically for you.

Looks like this guy is feeling the Moon pulling on the water in his brain.

A little learning is a dangerous thing;
drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring:
there shallow draughts intoxicate the brain,
and drinking largely sobers us again.

The implication is that a small amount of knowledge can lead to overconfidence, leaping to invalid conclusions based on what you do know without taking into account the things that you don't know. It's contrasted with a large amount of knowledge, which would presumably lead one to be more cautious or to at least draw better conclusions.

It's not generally intended to imply that "even a little knowledge" is a dangerous thing. In the phrase's terms, more is definitely better.

From what I understand gravity is a weak force so there's no chance the planets can have an affect on us.

It would be like feng shui.  People thinking moving certain objects or furnature can have an affect on their happiness.

All planets appear in retrograde at some point, Mercury just does it more often. This reversal in direction is simply a factor of two planets relative motion around the Sun. It's an effect of perspective. the Earth orbits the Sun and not vice versa.

Leo, brother, I truly admire your stance on what you believe or been told. What I question is your objectiveness, willingness & openness to actual scientific measurable data/sources. Such as in relation to your comment about the apparent similarities and thus correlation of the ph balance of sea water and the causation in humanoid biology and brain make up which are utterly and verifiable inaccurate. have a look https://www.icr.org/article/does-similarity-human-blood-sea-water-prove-life-o/

Correlation, Causation? Cite your sources. Don't just say NASA and Mercury in retrograde nonsense. Cite the peer reviewed or scientific data for what sound as if your providing verifiable and founded in hard substantive data statements. Give us an actual peer reviewed journal or something that shows such correlation of Mercury in Retrograde on the causation effect on humanoids on Earth. In replying to your original post I was just having a bit of fun as you said basically you'd catch it for your kind or voodoo and then you turn around and try to bite me for calling you on your own voodoo you stated people would call you on. Amazing. Simply dumbfounding.

It may be interesting reading to find out how much of your body and more importantly, your brain is made up of water. If the moon control the multiple tonnages of the sea, it would have no influence on your little bodies and heads, which are about the same chemical formula of the ocean, down to ph? Oh well

I think the scientific terminology is mumbo jumbo. Entertaining though. :-)

Just want to say. About an earlier comment that was posted. Which was directed at me. Which I assume was insinuating that I had a mental disability and thus needed a carer.   Someone who has mental health issues is not the same as having a low IQ.

and if you don't believe in mental health issues . It's your choice to behave cruely and put a person down. It's just as easy to say something nice.

basically I'm not an idiot

Guys, I just got off work after a triple shift, so I couldn't monitor my post. I am completely surprised that something so benign and meant to put many people's mind at ease turns out to be a pissing contest. That was not my purpose. I was hoping instead that people would google or do other research to either fill in the gaps that I left because I was in a hurry, or refute what I said. Instead, I get to look at this. Okay. Maybe I'm not surprised.

And in other news a soothsayer from Clacksaw on Tweed has predicted 3 cats will become Pope next week by reading tea leaves in an old boot.

I understand  the mercury planet thing. Nothing technically changes with the planets,  it's just our perspective from our distance.
