sphere

Most scientific facts are based on things that we cannot see with the naked eye or hear by our ears or feel by our hands. Many of them are described and guided by mathematical theory. In the end, it becomes difficult to distinguish a mathematical object from objects in nature.

One example is the concept of a sphere. Is the sphere part of nature or it is a mathematical artifact? That is difficult for a mathematician to say. Perhaps the abstract mathematical concept is actually a part of nature. And it is not surprising that this abstract concept actually describes nature quite accurately.

Speaking of spheres....no one knows who named Earth, Earth.

sometimes intelligence can get in the way, imagine a first date and trying to impress with a theory of spheres?

The sphere is natural and the most perfect shape. Stars and planets are perfect spheres (save for any equatorial bulge due to rotational energy) because gravitational wells created by mass distort the fabric of space-time equally in all directions.

Mathematically you can use tools like the quadratic equation or to be more accurate, certain differentials can be distinguished using calculus. But to visualize using Physics is the easiest. Then you can back up the visualized with a mathematical model.

It's difficult to really visualize and understand a sphere completely as it's all related to pi, which has no repetition as it continues to infinity.

perspective .. i see a sphere i can describe it - it exists the mathimatician calculates and theorises to confirm that the sphere exists we both see explain  it but in different ways

Wow. That's an ass-kicker. On on hand you could say since he have gravity through rotation, therefore a sphere would be natural, you could also say that since the earth's orbit is elliptical, then theoretically a natural sphere shouldn't exist. How do we reconcile that one. Thanks. Icobo. I have my physics book close by. Leo
