why do people bully, after all this time I stll dont understand them, morons they are
I joined facebook for two reasons -
1. To keep in touch with some friends I grew up with who have dispersed across the country
2. To join some conservative political groups for discussions with like minded folks
I have found fb a marvelous invention for these purposes and wish it had been around 30 years ago! haha! Like everyone else I've heard about this online bullying but never experienced it on FB myself, even on conservative groups in discussions people seem to behave themselves.
Perhaps it has something to do with the kinds of people I went to High School with? or the kinds of people who join conservative groups? well behaved, respectable, polite, church going, decent white folks?
I guess if you were in some inner city where certain types of people are unable to even talk properly - and use violence as a way to express themselves - then bullying must be expected; perhaps online bullying is an extension of them robbing a convenience store or drug dealer?
As the teen body count rises and rises - "diversity" is working well, isn't it?
First of all I am sorry so sorry to hear this has happened yet again, I know of some one who hung them selves because of bullying as he he was gay. In the note (will not go in to full details) he said that the world is to small these days, due to everyone having to many devices to contact them on. One has to read their emails right? This has happened no doubt because of all the connectivity kids and people are using these days. The internet is a good idea, an dream of Free Speech and all that, but some can't handle the amount of negative comments.................its not their fault, its those who keep on and on about the same shit. Thankfully there is help out there, just google it and you'll not only find Gov support sites but hundreds of blogs and sites that are created by people who have gone through the same thing. Bullying was bad in the 80's and early 90's, then the internet came along and wham..................its now over whelming. Twitter is the worse place I think. Again sorry for your lose and your friends loss.
Bullying of any-kind is wrong and should never be tolerated ever. I personally can't stand FB or their prosessing of abuse reports RIP Berry

That's why I do not have facebook. The bulling came from my family. They can all go to hell.
Sympathy and condolences to your cousin and Barry's family. so sad when that kind of bashing/ bullying drives a boy (of adult) to that end. In schools and out, boys especially toss around vicious epithets, not caring what they do to the targets. I am sure none of the bashers-bullies will take responsibility for what it drove Barry to. Sympathies to all who really knew and loved him.

I had been on a support group until recently, I left a couple months ago. I'd been there for 3 years but had been bullied a fair bit by people on there and others acting indifferent on the matter, not even the mods or admins cared.
Online bullying is one of the biggest threats to young people.
Horrible people think they abuse they give online has no effects on people in real life. They can just say horrible things because they're safe behind a keyboard and aren't held accountable.
Barry seemed like a very brave boy. He will be a loss to the world.
so very said ........... suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
So tragic both for your cousin and for his friend Barry. The issues of bullying continue to grow and unfortunately, these things keep happening with more and more frequency. May your cousin find peace and support.
