"Your" God is an Asshole.....
I heard about this today, it broke my heart to pieces. By the time I am done writing what I think it's probably going to get pretty ugly. This 15 year old boy died due to his parents religion to refuse him medical care. He weighed only 37 pounds and he lived alone and died alone. What fucking religion would do this? God gave us the intelligence, heart, and soul to help others. How could anyone look at another that needed help and not help them? How could you go for years and years watching someone die? All he needed was a simple shot and some food. Look at his parents, they don't look like they ever missed a meal. I bet his mom and dad on a daily basis would both say, "I'm starving.. what's for dinner?" While their son was dying of starvation in the same house. You two fat fucks! I hope you both rot in prison and you both burn in hell. I also thought about my Love, he needs the same care this boy needed but these two fucked in the head parents killed their son because "their" God is an asshole....

Reading all these comments I can only agree! What Gandhe said is 100% true! This behaviiour of so called christians (with NO capital letters!) is nothing but the OPPOSITE of what Christ told us (look up the Sermon of the Mount) and see for yourselves! Everything evil in the world comes from human beings who use religion for their own selfish purposes. But, they have (or had) their time here. and will either rot or burn in Hell. Look up the sequence of popes in Wikipedia for instance. One of the popes died of a heart attack while fucking (or more likely being fucked by) a Guard at the pontifical palace.
the whole story is beyond sad. i knew a couple that the same religion years ago. they did not see doctors or take meds and the woman died from a simple illness. they claimed this sort of thing is "the lord's will".

Gavin this is a sad but excellent post, showing not only the empathy in your heart, but in the hearts of those who commented. It is hard to imagine the pain of a child whose hurt is caused by the very people he looks to for protection from pain. Nick, please don't try to turn this blog into a pro life and pro choice debate which it isn't! Open a blog of your own and have right at that fight!
You said it... God gave us, his creations, intelligence to discern right from wrong, good from evil, and, even more importantly, truth from mindless religious literalism carried out by fundamentalist jerks. Some of these jerks, for example, believe the earth is less than 6,000 years old. What about dinosaur fossils, proven to be 65 million years old plus, I ask them. Oh, they reply, we cannot fathom God-years as opposed to human years... Nothing can dissuade them from believing in false things which result in harming their sons and daughters, like this case. They deserve to burn in the fundamentalist Hell they have created for themselves here on earth. Not a very Christian attitude on my part, but I don't really count myself as a Christian anyway...

The libertarian in me has issues with interfering in religious activity. That being said, the imposition on a minor of an adults religious beliefs in this manner is wrong. And I do wonder where the authorities were during this. Clearly at some point he dropped or stopped attending school. Did no one check. And yes, the "parents" and I use that term very loosely deserve to rot for what they did.
The parents are ignorant, sick, selfish fucks. They should be prosecuted for murder.
I see and read about stuff like this everyday. I have learned so much self control with the job I have. When I get home after dealing with trash like this I let it out and cry. I am happy these fat fucks will be in prison for life. Abuse of any kind on a child should never be tolerated. .
I'm fortunate I get the health care I need my parents are religious people. This is just horrible why didn't someone step in and do something. I think I couldn't know this was going on and not do a fucking thing.
so ok i do believe in the lord i do however i don't believe in the church at all. and as far as these to fucking assholes i hope that when they go to prison that there food is with held from them untill they die. we could hope that someone just beats the living hell out of them until they die witch i wish i was there to watch that is for sure if not help even :) :) again sorry this boy had to die because of them :( :( :(
