Dear God can people in this day and age be soooooooo fucking stupid. Of course you notice the only people actually DOING this heinous deed are the elders. Thus insuring their ideals are continuing. You dont see a 20 something parent doing it do you Hmmmmm? No becaused they refused and were stoned to death! I think the kid should have a long pointed stick and be able to poke the eyes out of anyone who gets near his junk with a cutting tool
You are a prince, it's your special day, you hear the clapping, feel the pain, try to be as brave as you could be and then you are a man, can sit and eat with your father and older brothers instead of the women and girls. You are be a part of something bigger now, you depend to a community, forever.........then you get your bomb backpack and visit a christmas market to become a martyr hero and kill as much as unbelieving enemies as you can.
Happens last year in Germany but the boy was caught before the backpack explodes. Shortly after, someone crashes a truck in a christmas market in Berlin and kill a lot of people.
That looks like it must be clearly traumatic. The exposure. The humiliation. The pain. The public invasion of your most private intimacy. All dressed up like some kind of theatrical production while your family sit around grinning and clapping. Ugh.
While I am in favor of circumcision shortly after birth due to health and hygiene issues, I agree that conducting this practice on older (child) males, unless due to medical problems, is horribly traumatic to the boy involved no matter the culture or religious rite. In the mid or late 70s, I watched a film involving these practices under the guise of a "medical" documentary, and as jaded as I may have been, I found it very disturbing.
Unless it's done for medical reasons, circumcision is a barbaric practice of mutilation enforced on helpless children. I'm cut, but I don't condone the practice at all. Poor little boys, they must know what's coming.
