Masturbation is a useful way for  getting  sexual pleasure especially for those who  don’t have a partner for sex.Though it can’t give the same pleasure that we get from penetration, it helps to lessen the pressure you feel when you are horny and want  somebody for sex.It is during the teenage that we begin doing masturbation.Till then for  boys, penis is just for pissing.But during the teenage when one’s sexuality begins to take shape, one comes to recognize his penis as a medium for satisfying his sexual urge.As the pumping of blood into penis causes erection, one in his teens naturally has a curiosity to find out what it is.The erection of penis is a physical response to the sexual feelings.And teenage is a phase where sexual feelings are very high.A teenager gradually comes to know about the connection between sexual feelings and erection.The discharge of semen which happens in teenagers during sleeping at night and is known as nocturnal emission is a common phenomenon.This nocturnal emission happens because the semen which is produced as a result of sexual feelings needs a way to go out.Like a dam which is filled to its capacity and when its shutters are not opened, the water overflows.This is what happens in nocturnal emission also.This nocturnal emission is perplexing to a teenager who thinks it as some sign of health  problem.Once he understands the reason for semen discharge he can better manage it.And this management of semen discharge is done through masturbation.When a teenager masturbates for the first time, he does it out of curiosity.But as he  continues with masturbation, he finds it as the effective way to get relief from sexual pressure  and also an important source of sexual pleasure.After masturbation becomes a habit for him, he begins to bring  sexual images  to his mind to make masturbation more enjoying.Keeping up the tempo of masturbation, he concentrates on a particular sexual image which he likes the most.This is when he nears ejaculation.Then the ejaculation happens.The discharge of the semen gives him great relief from the build-up of sexual pressure.Thus for a  teenager masturbation  reveals to him  the first step of sexual enjoyment.In fact masturbation is a starter for the more wide and varied world of sexual acts where one finds sexual pleasure with a partner.Puritans consider masturbation a sin and describes it as self-defilement.They depict it as very damaging to the health of body.They consider semen as very valuable thing that shouldn’t be wasted by acts like masturbation.If semen is to be stored in the body, then why ejaculation happens? Ejaculation is there to discharge semen.What happens in nocturnal emission also is the discharge of semen.Therefore discharging semen by masturbation is not a damaging act.Masturbation is the enjoyment of sex in solitary which is purely a harmless act that prevents a person from becoming a sex aggressor due to suppressed sexuality.
