I go the the gym 3-4 times a week, an hour each time. Worth it for the glances, and more, that you get from other gym users. Agree with Nick that bench press and biceps curls for getting a good upper body.
@ Nick don't supplements make you fat though, unless you do mega a mega workout.
As a trainee sports teacher I could get you in shape in no time.....I have my methods ...lol
Thanks for the advice guys, this does seem like a lot of work though. The gym I'm a member of is 4 minutes walk from my house, and I last went there 16 months ago, so I've decided I really should at least visit it, if nothing else I will benefit from 8 minutes of exercise.
███....Cross-Country running.....(..mini-marathon...???..)..by yourself, at your own pace....forget about upper body strength..WE.(??) like slim guys..(???)..errmm..DAVE™..███
To me, it starts with your lifestyle and diet. You have to commit to a regime of healthy living. You need to get motivated and fall in love with yourself. By this, I mean, you have to want this to happen. Ditch the smokes first of all. That in itself will eventually kill you. Maybe start out by running. I run everyday day, rain or shine. My best time is early in the morning. If I cant make my morning run, I do it before dinner. In my case it helps with stress from work and everyday problems. My gym time is usually the weekends or at night. Once you start this, you will feel better about yourself and your sleep patterns get better. As far as diet goes, you know what's good for you. Be sensible. Quit the drive through foods and pizza delivery. That's going to eventually kill you too. Good luck!
Check out Tom Daley's channel on YouTube. He has a few dozen short videos with various workout routines. Some are for abs. Some are for general conditioning. You may find the variety is something that motivates you. Or, you may find a few of the workouts that you want to try.
