I have the same problem, when I am at school I have free internet but its restricted. cant even get on porn sites let alone download, so I have to use my hotspot. I have looked into other so called unlimited programs but so far all of them offer unlimited but the high speed part is only the firs few gigs then it slows down to a slow crawl. One of my economics professers predicts that unlimited high speed internet will be available to all within the next couple of years. He said just remember when getting online was limited by time. Really? I cant imagine it. But he says that broadband or high speed is going to be mandatory and these companies will comply or be left in the dust by those who do offer it.
Try ur local phone(land-line) co. Can be cheap and quite competitive. Avoid cable co internet. Expensive monopoly rip-off. Bon chance :D
I am in Albuquerque. I use CenturyLink. I have a 40Mbps connection that costs me $19.99 per month. That is a special rate, and I have to remember to call Century Link CS annually to request that they renew the discount.
