I guess i can probably mark today as the day that I pissed off everyone at GBT, one of my favorite sites. I don't give a fuck. I am going to say what I have to say.
Below my rant is a comment I left on Chasseur's Wall. When I clicked on his page this morning I was assaulted with an auto play nightmare that i have never in my life encountered.
I know Chausser is a part of the "Old Guard" boy's club that has been here since day one. Again, I don't give a shit who he is. I work somewhere that I am surrounded by a hundred co-workers and a couple of dozen customers. YES, I know this was mostly mt fault because I should have assumed something like this would have happened. But the thing is that I have (had) great respect at my job and my bosses never really cared where I surfed. I had great freedom and trust. At this time i am now back home from work. I had a fucking nightmare morning so decided to get out of there because I was terribly embarrassed and equally stressed.

It was not a good day after that having actually startled many people with the speaker volume his page threw off and also am not happy that I was in effect outed at work because the IT department searched my history. When I got home I posted the below on his wall. I am reposting it here to hopefully get others to think about shit like this. I am also hoping Nick could perhaps do some soul searching and figure out how he would allow someone to post an auto-play explosion that takes people's computers outside the normal volume levels and also has no way I could find to turn it off quickly. I don't see a player.
Anyway, for those that will think I am being a dramatic dickhead I say to you that you clearly don't understand reality. Am I pissed right now? You bet! Am I being 100% rational here? Probably not but again, I don't give a fuck. i wish my whole world was like this place but for now I am not worried about speaking my mind at GBT. That's probably why I am so pissed. I feel like I was harmed by the site when in reality it was just one person being a cunt.

I cannot control my laughter when I hear you say to GBT to use "fucking brains" when you watch porn at work but I am with you on this auto play option. It is loud and very very annoying. On the other side people with noisy profiles are not asking you to visit. Profile are their personal page and everyone is allowed to be creative.
I agree with a lot of comments here. Yes a LOT of videos do seem to be set so a level so when they are played ( either with headphones or without) will blast the listener across the other side of the room, before we even have time to react to the noise level. Personally, I think all videos should be set to a level whrer the listener has contol of the volume. I am not saying that what happened wasn't a stressful event, but then again if it was me, I personally wouldn't browse porn in a public place in the bosses time no matter how well you get on with your boss. I feel sorry for your situation - someone once described it to me as live and learn
GBT (and all Porn) is NSFW, as you found out GCs , If it was not the auto play that caught you out it would have been be the moaning and groaning , or maybe we should have a silent site. And I do give a shit who Chausser is and it is wrong of you to call him in this blog.
Have to say that I agree with what most are saying to you mate, watching porn at work was prob not your best choice - I think Mr. Cockbrain over ruled Mr. Headbrain's very good advise. Also agree on autoplay - it is very annoying, I love songs and music - but tone it down a bit you guy's.

i am not a fan of auto-play or picking out an individual to rant about. take the problem to him or rant about auto-play on some sites. i think everyone here agrees surfing porn while at work or on a work owned computer may have dire consequences. most companies automatically terminate.
obviously you don't have a gvmt job. a fed gvmt job web site is a good idea right now.
but i can relate to some degree about some profile's noise levels. it can rattle the windows without any warning.

Greatclips, I am very sorry that this happened to you. I never surf porn sites at work because you never know who has access to the activity. Even when I am home alone I have been annoyed by auto-play. I wish all media players would open in the paused mode so we would have the option of clicking on play. It sounded ok to me..you could just turn your speakers off or turn the volume down to 0.
