2. "First Generation" by Chong Fah Cheong. A group of boys jumping into the Singapore River. That's downtown Singapore and not really Wonder of the world but very special and I can say "different" :)

Yes Robbie, if you mean the big one (not that one in Sentosa Island), about 300-400 meters from this statue.

First time I saw this satue in Singapore I was just thinking... That kind of statue in one of the most double standard countries (including Thailand and USA) of living? Because economy is still
growing in Singapore and it's one of the wealthiest countries in the world, the strong leaders of the country are forced to mix all culture of Singapore, new technology, giant contraction plans
and also different kinds and races of people and their basic life there? Lots of religions who surprisingly can live together side by side (Same as in Kuala Lumpun nowadays.)
Maybe those litlle bronze boys helped or were a big part with this development? :)

Of course they do look a little suicidal especially jumping that far of a distance...and in the canal! Ooops! Lol. It's just art though so I get it. One does not have to take it that literal or in that manner at all. Just playing a little devil's advocate.

Phenomenal! With all due respect they are not malnourished looking. Lol. It is good that you care BUT I think you just haven't seen children that are not fat! Lol.

Really cool, it must bring a kinda 'light-hearted' atmosphere to this place :) Not sure I would jump in that river though haha, the water doesn't look very clear.

Stevman, you're right. I was there (this picture is not mine but I have some of my own too) with my class from school about 3 years ago and the statue figures
look like more African than Malaysian :)
