So, I don't claim to be the most experienced person sex wise, but I know what I like. I'm submissive and like to be dominated during sex. But this is really only role-play because in the rest of my life, I like to be in control. Problem is, in the past I've found two guys (not at the same time!) who were perfect for me sexually, but not as boyfriends because they couldn't leave the dominating stuff in the bedroom and wanted to control my life. Are all dominate guys like that? Am I looking for something that doesn't exist?

Be clear about what you want, that a) you'll be submissive sexually, but b) you're living your own life and need no help there. Even though you're submissive, you'll need to be "dominantly" clearly-voiced initially for that to happen — speak out at first about what you want & don't want, and ask if he understands. (Hopefully that just takes the time it takes to get the clothes off.)
