XYlover69 makes a good point. Even though this is not a dating or hook-up site it would be nice if more members would share a little bit of info about themselves. I am 58 and live in Missouri, sharing that info is not a big deal to me. When I get a friend request from somebody with a blank profile I usually do not accept it. I do not have any friends offline that I know absolutely nothing about. To be honest, I would like to become friends with members that live nearby. I have become friends with a few really nice members on here that I would enjoy meeting face to face, not for sex, just to hang out with. But if I did become friends with a single guy that lived nearby and it blossomed into a romantic thing, that would be nice too!

Hi 007, I have the same problem (well, except totally different age-bracket from you). ¶ With the 1000s (? I think) of guys here on GBT, personally I'd love it if single guys would, on their profiles, mention where they ARE. (At least the country, and if in US or Canada also the state or province; and more if possible?) With that information, guys could look you up (like I just did, to see where you were) & see if, pursuing with you a private chat, might lead to an actual meet-up (or not)? If you're just looking for physical companionship. ¶ Also, giving a true age on profiles when possible, instead of leaving the "default age" of "114", might help with this. (Not talking about you, 007, on this point. I see that, age-wise, we wouldn't work out for a hookup-tryst should it turn out you live just a few miles from me — although, that wouldn't rule out my taking you out for dinner in my opinion.) ¶ At the same time, I do completely understand that some guys here may be "high profile" and can't possibly divulge their locations, and/or their ages. And all of us should "google" ourselves, to see what our screen-names / e-mail addresses / full names / etc. might, against our wishes, already show to the world.... ¶ I'm just saying that, if you're SINGLE here and open to meeting up with another GBT member, & you're not showing your photo here as an avatar, & you don't mention your full name in your About Me section (or using it as your handle / screen name — I hope that NO ONE here uses his full name here!), you could ask yourself if you could be a bit more specific about your age or your location?
