I've seen some heterosexuals complain about the age discrepancy between Aaron Taylor-Johnson and his wife. It's not universal "appreciation" as one may think. Odd thing is I don't think twice about age discrepancy in same sex male couples. Stephen Fry and Dustin Lance Black are few examples of this but I don't feel icky towards it. I've stopped feeling some type of way about ATJ and his wife Sam. If it's love, it's love. Fuck it.

Indeed, still, "society" is not o.k. with "older man, younger woman." Particularly the modern feminist movement is not o.k. with this, and they have done more toward the hatred of sex and men as "oppressors," than any other group. In terms of "older man, younger man" the discrepancy is even worse, and people throw around the word you are talking about without even knowing what it means. Modern feminism, Christian fundamentalism, and a general desire to stick your nose into other people's business has made "society" a living hell for people like me.

It is true. When I date guys more than 7 or 8+ years younger than me my straight friends give me so much shit. All in supposed good humour but when I date guys closer to my own age they don't bat an eyelid. Conversely one of my best mates is 36 and dating a 23 yr old girl and no one gives him any bs.
