She's a Welsh singer, popular/active in the 1960s & 1970s. Paul McCartney produced her first album in 1968 (which contained the hit "Those Were the Days". This is her 2nd album, from 1971, produced by Tony Visconti who later married her. (Hopkin, not Hopkins.) My favorite song of hers was one of her many single-only songs, "Goodbye," which McCartney wrote.

Jericó, también me encanta "gitano" música folk de Europa del Este y Rusia. Además, The Chieftains (de Irlanda). Y, Gipsy Kings (del cual yo estoy seguro que usted sabe de catalán), también su temprana de Los Reyes; tienen un sonido flamenco en sus canciones? ...... Jericho, I also love "gypsy" folk music from Eastern Europe & Russia. As well, The Chieftains (from Ireland). And, Gipsy Kings (whom I am sure you know from Catalan) also their early Los Reyes; they have some flamenco sound in their songs?

Sí, suena mucho como la música country. Pero la música se basa principalmente en Inglés (británico) música folclórica suena. Sé que música folclórica inglés / americano a veces puede ser casi indistinguible de "la música country" de América. Lo sé porque me encanta la música popular (como estas canciones), pero no me importa para el "la música country" de la música; pero a veces cuando escucho una estación de música folklórica, ciertas canciones sonarán bastante como "tradicional de la música country".

(Fue difícil para mí la prueba de leer la traducción en español aquí! Porque "país" aparece como País, y "popular" como "gente"!)

Yes, it does sound a lot like country. But the music is mainly based on English (British) folk sounds. I know that English/American folk can sometimes be almost indistinguishable from American "country". I know this because I love folk music (like these songs), but I do not care for "country/western" music; but sometimes when I listen to a folk-music station, certain songs will sound quite like "traditional country".

(It was hard for me to proof-read the Spanish translation here! Because "country" comes across as país, & "folk" as "gente"!)
