Patuxai (Lao: ປະຕູໄຊ, literally meaning Victory Gate or Gate of Triumph, formerly the Anousavary or Anosavari Monument, known by the French as Monument Aux Morts) is a war monument in the centre of Vientiane, Laos, which was built between 1957 and 1968. The Patuxai is dedicated to those who fought in the struggle for independence from France. It is also called Patuxai Arch or the Arc de Triomphe of Vientiane as it resembles the Arc De Triomphe in Paris. However, it is typically Lao design, decorated with mythological creatures such as the kinnari (half-female, half-bird). This City is also beautiful but more busy than Luang Prabang. Now here 2 more nights and the trip continues...:) Hugs my friends

Surprisingly I have a special travel insurance customized especially to avoid dangerous situations with unknown horny and mysterious sneakers. Like that yellow one
meowing below my blog. Right now. If my insurance does not help on time I always carry my baseball bat with me. That everyone knows:)

Legend also has it that this is where the mysterious Deeenis de Meeenace flies out of the very highest window, usually in the cover of darkness, seeking a handsome, young gay Vietnamese boy named Jay to kiss and embrace for sharing such beautiful wonders of Asia as he travels. :D

In Southeast Asian mythology, Kinnaris, the female counterpart of Kinnaras, are depicted as half-bird, half-woman creatures. One of the many creatures that inhabit the mythical Himavanta. Kinnaris have the head, torso, and arms of a woman and the wings, tail and feet of a swan. She is renowned for her dance, song and poetry, and is a traditional symbol of feminine beauty, grace and accomplishment. The Himavanta is a legendary forest which surrounds the base of Mount Meru in Hindu mythology. It is said to be the home of an assortment of mythical creatures, such as the Naga, the Kinnara and the Garuda. The mythical Nariphon tree of Buddhist mythology, often mentioned in Thai folklore, is said to grow there. The Garuda is a large bird-like creature, or humanoid bird that appears in both Hinduism and Buddhism, Indonesia adopts Garuda's depiction as its national symbol. The Kinnara appears mostly in South-East Asian countries (Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, also in India). Nāga is the Sanskrit (Sanskrit is the primary liturgical language of Hinduism, a philosophical language in Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism) and Pali (Pali (a Middle Indo-Aryan language that is in the Prakrit language group and is native to the Indian subcontinent. It is the liturgical language of Theravada Buddhism) word for a deity or class of entity or being, taking the form of a very great snake—specifically the king cobra, found in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism. Garuda and the Nagas began life as cousins

Huh... easy and clear, right? Hopefully this information is written correctly, Chestromani :)
