It is summer - it is hot and people wear less clothes, which does not help me at all. I've found that humor sometimes helps me. If I'm attracted to a guy (and I'd say I'm probably slightly below-average in the "looks" department), like in a store, and I can turn something we're experiencing/seeing into a quick joke, sometimes that can be an ice-breaker.
