Bathhouse experience ?

<p>Im 18 and never been to a bathhouse before.. I live in Toronto (plenty of bathhouses) and thinking about visiting one although I have no idea what to expect. </p>
<p>Have any of you been to one, and if so, what should I expect? Does being 18 and young matter in a bath house ?</p>

you would be very popular. i only went once when i was in my 20s , it was mostly older guys ,but there were a few guys around my age and it was pretty hot fun .

Mostly oldermen ther like myself, some are not so kind. Feeding frenzy as one of the other boys said, sort of says it all. If you like oldermen fine but not from a bath house!

I met a young, around 18-20, Latvian guy in a London gay sauna once. He just wanted to kiss, cuddle and suck so I didnt push for anything more. He was a cute guy and it is a nice memory.

The last bathhouse I was in (about a year ago) had a number of young couples (late teens, early 20s) - and as far as I could tell, no one bothered them. There is a bathhouse etiquette where you can make it clear who you're interested in and who you're not - and that will be abided by. Two of the couples teamed up to make a four-some - I'm sure it was hot! I'd suggest going with a friend too. And if you should want to get with an older man, a bathhouse would be a good place to go, rather to someone's apartment since others would come to your aid in a bathhouse if you need help. Just my 2 cents.

An eighteen year old boy all alone in a gay bathhouse - think feeding frenzy. Best thing to do if you want to experience a gay bathhouse is to go with a friend and act as a couple. Then you'll be relatively unmolested or at least propositioned for group activities which you can politely decline without causing offense.

There ae lots of etiquettes and protocols that are generally followed in bath houses. You need to know them before you go into one. Like others said, you are considered 'chicken' and would be the desire and focus of many, which may sound exciting, but could easily become overwhelming and uncomfortable. I suggest for the first couple of times you go into a bath house go with an older, experienced person who can teach you the ropes and help you stay safe. Also, keep in mind, as others have said, public sex with strangers is VERY risky. A condom alone does not prevent you from getting all std's.

Living in Toronto like you, yes there are numerous bath houses. My only venture into one was in Montreal. At 18 you will be the focus of attention. Whether you get a locker or a small "roomette" (a bench with mattress and pillow), and IF so equipped a small place to lock valuables. It is all guys, mostly OLDER, walking around naked in towels, chat is usually at a minimum, and many dark "public" areas to make out and be seen or in the private of your room. Some have bars, steam rooms, pools or spas, showers, and it is very "cruisy". You can't stereotype but it IS important if you play, to use condoms. Once you are 19 there are a number of cruisy bars on Church Street, some with entertainment. "Timothies" in the "village" is a very cruisy place. How many people under 40 do you really think you're going to see there? Ok, it's better than a back alley by a dumpster I suppose, but not by much. Avoid.

From my experience there not that bad.Sure if its your first time you could be scared and there would be those that could take advantage but i think they would soon notice that you were new and would leave you in peace.My best advice is to go with a friend if you can find one willing to go..We went to a gay club in Cologne a while back and it was full nudity in the basement...There was a small room with a hanging chair on chains and 3 guys having sex were you could watch.We sat next to the dance floor and guys would go upto the bar naked.It was so relaxed and the ages were 21 to about 65 and it was great..I just wish we had checked out some in Paris.

I went to them in Europe. I went for the steam and saunas. A lot of older men but you have to expect that. I never had sex there but there was plenty of opportunity
