@Giles - yeah it is a bit cryptic...probably too much and a bit sloppy tbh..more about desire than love...and just loosely plays with a series of historical and ahistorical frames (the prehistoric, the idea of Eden and the 'tree', the medieval, Prester John's Land, the modern age) to talk about desire in a kind of chilled out way (that's what I meant about listening to too much jazz lately..)

Hey that's cool beart and Mike....wasn't sure this more 'literary' style of poem would be to people's tastes but I thought I'd give it a go :) I think most ppl don't care for this kind of poetry nowadays apart from us literature nerds, so that's all fair enough. I'll always write my more funny/rhyming ones. Cheers guys xx

OK, I'm very sorry, but I have to give up on that one, too many references I don't understand and stretching my English skills to the breaking point :-)
