it not called just football its AMERICAN FOOTBALL because us brits invented a game where u have to kick a ball with ur foot hence the name football, and in ur sport thats more like rugby just more girlish, u rarely kick ur ball so it should be called either american rugby or throw ball with alot of stoppages so there :P

I enjoy the NFL version of football. You're more than welcome to enjoy the English Premier League version of football. Neither will change the name of their sport. Live with it.

Soccer in the US seems to be getting more popular, but I don't ever see it replacing our beloved football. And I sure don't ever see us calling soccer football and football something else, although manball might work. @darkknightretutns what is toad in the hole? I think I'd like to try it.

@Brae I like hockey too having played and also coached for 15 years and had season tickets to our beloved "Maple Leafs" until 1985.I doubt I will lever see a Stanley cup in Toronto in my life time. I really take interest in girls hockey now. They play with heart, not for money lol!..................and @ swoshy you know I'm just yanking your chain. My mom was British and I've been to the lovely country 4 times, and yes love my bangers and mash, toad in the hole, corned beef and cabbage mmm.

it's called soccer in most countries lol what do you expect from a culture that drives on the wrong side of the road lmao! and they are French fries not chips, and chips are not crisps! bangers are sausages, they are not bobbies, they are police officers.
