I do know his last name, but have never been able to find him. Of course now he is a wrinkly old geezer like myself, but I bet I'd still think he was cute.

This is a great blog, do you know Rob's last name? If so, Google him! What have you to lose?

This was taken at the U.S. Navy base on Treasure Island in the middle of San Francisco Bay in the fall of 1976. I am taking the picture. We were all there for the first phase of our training to become Hull Maintenance Technicians. I had a HUGE crush on the guy in the middle in the white tee shirt. His name was Rob. Rob was super funny and super hot. We became good friends. At the end of our training I was chosen to stay on for additional training on the P250 which was a gas powered 2 stroke emergency water pump. The rest of my class went on to San Diego for the second stage of training and I stayed in San Francisco for one more week. I was 18 years old and it was the first time I ever felt "love sick" for anyone. I was shocked at how much I missed Rob. I wasn't out to anyone, including myself. At the end of the week I flu to San Diego and found the rest of my class mates in the Naval housing. A mutual friend told me Rob was taking a shower and immediately took me there to see him. I have to admit I found this strange. It would have been more natural if I hung out with him and waited for Rob to get back. It was like he thought that I couldn't wait to see Rob, which was true. So we found Rob in the showers and I didn't dare try to look at his cock. He was really glad to see me and of course I was really glad to see him. At the end of our second phase of training, Rob got stationed In Sardinia, Italy, (Rob called it Anchovia), and I got assigned to the U.S.S. Fox CG33 in San Diego. I never saw or heard from him again.
