hey braedan thanks for the tips mate, yeah im lookin for more a relationship or friendship anyway, I had a look at gaydar and didn't like it, im shaw mr right is out there somewhere hahaha

I used to use Gaydar regularly when I lived in London. I made some good friends through it and even found a boyfriend for a while through it. But that was only after a couple of years of wading through a lot of boring and sometimes irritating messages - with men's naked cock pics sent to you before they even knew you - from people looking for sex with anybody, right now. Whether it can work for you partially depends on where you live I think. In a bigger city (at least in the UK) you could get some friends, dates and or hook-ups, whichever you prefer, amidst all the cruising. In a smaller place it might not offer much. It's largely a flat out meat market so if quick hook ups are your thing you'll be in business. But if you want to meet people for friendship, going out on dates or more slow boiling romance you might find it frustrating. People don't just talk or say hi and get to know each other as much as on on GBT, although there is some of that as well. The conversations in the chat rooms are rarely like the conversations here. It's more straight up 'what are you into? where are you?' stuff. Saying all that, in the UK at least you can use gaydar for free with some minor but not intrusive restrictions. So always worth a look. One thing is that with all the new sites springing up everywhere I've heard gaydar isn't what it used to be and is kind of dying.
