I try not to disrespect any one on GBT. It is hard at times but I smile and go on.

Respect does have to be earned. Once I know that I deserve somebody's respect, if they don't show me respect, I simply no longer acknowledge that they exist in my world. Some people are just not worth knowing. It doesn't bother me, life is too short to waste your time on rude people.
