Big testicle

<p>During the winter I happened to meet a young guy in his late 20s who had testicular cancer in high school. As a result one of his testicles was surgically removed. The one remaining almost doubled in size and was huge! He said his Dr told him some growth usually happens but not nearly as much as he experienced.</p>
<p>I was also suprised to learn how a testicle is removed. I just assumed a cut was made in the scrotum. But instead an incision is made at about the belt line and the cord and testicle is removed from there.</p>
<p>I just thought this was a little different and where else would I be able to mention it except here? Oh and by the way since I'm on the subject, testicular cancer can happen at any age! Though it's usually in guys in their late teens and early twenties, it can and does occasionally occur at all ages so check yourself, or check your friends, or have your friends check you or all the above!</p>

Really @WeeNathan - I dont think so...no surgeon would ever remove both testicles from a 15 yr old boy which were not cancerous and at that age there is no way yr parents would have given consent to such a thing.Grow up man....

Seems this is more common these days. I managed to escape it and hoping the prostate will remain intact.

Had my balls removed at 15, for two reasons. 1.) To eliminate the risk of getting balls cancer. 2.) To eliminate the risk of my fb/bf getting "knocked up". Complete peace of mind is a liberating thing. Sleep like a log every night. ;))

I have a close friend who contracted testicular cancer around 10 years ago in his 20's and as has been said on here the operation is not a straight forward one.However he is now 31 and is back to full health and leads a full sex life with his boyfriend which demonstrates that if caught early it can be sorted.So please guys have a good feel and if ANYTHING seems out of the ordinary please get to see your doctor a.s.a.p.
