I've been HIV+ for the majority of my life. Since I was bout 6. I would love to bareback. I've talked to other guys about it and explained that it seems more intimate in my mind, but they say its just latex and it doesnt matter. I'm not say I'd go bareback, but just that people don't understand why I think its probably fantastic. If i were NOT in my circumstance, I'd do it but only with someone I was in a committed relationship with. So no anonymous back alley kind of shit. But also I tend to want to mate for life :)

What we should do and what we do do is very often two mutually incompatible things. What is one bois style may not be anothers. As adults, we have the freedom to choose, good or bad, right or wrong. My philosophy is that people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Judge not, lest ye be judged in return. Tolerance and love for all gay brothers. There is also PrEP Truvada (http://aids.gov/hiv-aids-basics/prevention/reduce-your-risk/pre-exposure-prophylaxis/) which the CDC is beginning to recommend. A once a day pill that protects the taker from exposure. You are still exposed to other STD's. There is no such thing as SAFE sex..there is safer sex and as @usainindia says in the end it is about trusting your partner.

As far as I am concerned, there are ways to have safer sex without wearing a condom, but those are very limited. Both you and your partner need to be tested for all STDs including HIV. Know that there is about a two month period of time after exposure to HIV before it will show up on any test. So, if either you or your partner has had unprotected sex with anybody in the last two months, you need to wait to be sure the test results are accurate. This also requires that both of you trust each other to remain monogamous to each other so that once you test, there is no new risk of infection. You literally are trusting the other person with your life. This sounds like a lot to do in order to have great bare-dick sex, but the alternative is an increased risk of contracting a deadly disease. Yes, there are treatments available for HIV, but they are not foolproof and they only are effective if you find out that you are HIV Positive fairly soon after exposure. If all of these requirements are not met, then I revert to my mottos of 'Don't be silly. Wrap your willy." or "No glove, no love."
