I relly hope he wasn't. I watched some films and documentaries on him and I cried. I really wish it was me and not him! I would give anything

Mathew Shepard WAS NOT a drug user or dealer. His attacker was NOT gay. They were homophobic punks who beat him ruthlessly to death and hung him on a fence..

Tabloid journalist pimping his trade to make a slutty buck off of cold blooded murder. After all of these years who would bother reading such trash. If it had been over drugs they would simply have simply killed him and not tied him to a fence for torture.

At the trial that McKinney fellow claimed 'gay panic' and other similar homophobic defences....Now people are supposed to believe that despite his terror of being molested/sodomised by a gay male - he was actually on "Drug Patrol" at the time...protecting the Nation's youth against this insidious drug meth.

Complete BS. This was manufactured by the defense to divert the attention away from what it was; that it was a hate crime, and not a drug deal gone bad. By attempting to make Matthew appear like a drug dealer, he would've attracted less sympathy and would've in the eyes of most, "deserved it". That way it would've appeared "less heinous" than it actually was. The court didn't buy it.

There is a book called "The Book of Matt: Hidden Truths About the Murder of Matthew Shepard" which claims what you quoted is true. However, there are other sources which claim that the book is wrong.
