Any one "come out" and regreted it ?

I'm a single parent with a teenage boy, ive used him as an excuse for not "coming out'. Im thinking of explaining to him then coming out, anyone else been in this situation and regreted not coming out or doing so and regreted it ?

Hi dd80, just because you tell him your gay doesn't mean his friends have to know. Teenagers these days are use to people coming out. Have you ever talked about gay people? Maybe you could and see what his view on gay people is.

Thanx for comments, its not that i think he'll think less of me nor is it about lie-ing to him, i dont want him to feel uncomfortable or to get teased about him having a gay dad.Appreciate your feedback guys.

i told my 2 kids when they were 14 n 15 n they took it well if your kids love n care for you n you feel the same you should tell him n you will find that they support you x DONT LIE TO THEM N DONT LET THEM FIND OUT ON THERE OWN COS YOU WILL REGET IT XX GOOD LUCK

Would you consider posting this question on my wall? I have a great group of gay boys who i call the Gay Think tank :) Funny i know but when one of us needs advise or someone to lean on they are with that person. Please give it a try and see what they come up with. Love Ruslan :)

wait until your kid is older, like in college or so. the teen age is its troubled enough, you dont need a coming out from your father at that age
