Please forgive me for blogging this but I wanted to share this happiness with my many friends on GBT.

Today my boyfriend and I celebrate the 6th anniversary since our first date. I can honestly say although it has not always been easy it has been the most happiest time in my life. Many people told us we were way too young to maintain a committed relationship but with the love and support of our families we have proved them wrong.

We both recently visited my dad in London and although he has always been supportive of our relationship he was dead against the idea of us marrying when I told him Misha surprised me with a ring at Christmas and proposed to me, many people told me to ignore it and go ahead and do it and I was ready to do just that but thanks to my boyfriend and his level and caring head who insisted we wait and give my dad time to accept it he has now told us we have his full blessing and he is happy and proud to have Misha as a son in law and will be at our ceremony (when we choose a date)so it pays to be a little patient.

Misha you have made me the happiest guy on earth and I hope I do the same for you, it has been an amazing adventure and its just the beginning. You are the most amazing boyfriend I could wish for,and I look forward to many more years and many more adventures with you.

Congratulations Stees and Misha. You are both fortunate indeed to have found each other. I'm so glad that your dad has accepted your choice and given you his blessing. Love is never easy in this world, and even less so when you are gay, but you two seem to have everything going in your favour. I'm so happy for both of you. My dad would never be so accepting, he's blind with hate, and totally hates gay people, he can't see that it's true love, the same as straight love. if he knew I was gay he'd freak out. you're lucky. love is so beautiful. hate is so horrible.

Most importantly CONGRATULATIONS AND BEST WISHES! I am so pleased to hear that your father has "come around" and sees you and Misha's relationship for what it truly is...love. If you and Misha are really the age you state in you profile I totally disagree with those who claim you are too young. Just stay together, stay committed to each other AND NO ONE ELSE.
