i just broke up with my bf :( not because of an argument or anything like that. but because hes going away to collage soon. and he didnt want to be going through a break up while going off to collage. we both saw a break up coming. but i didnt see it this soon, and i still loved him.

he meant a lot to me. the first one that meant this much to me. i dont know what to do or how to move on.

You never know what the future holds. If he feels the same way you do, maybe a future together is a possibility. Be sure to tell him how you feel and stay in touch with him.

well, you say it was on it's way to being over anyway....so, i think you may be upset it didn't end on your terms. kinda got you by surprise? it's still sad though... we all go through this at some point. the first is always the hardest for sure. keep smiling and going! i can't wait for you to tell us all about number 2!!

Sometimes the easiest breakups are the ones that are fiery and angry - at least they leave you with a sense of closure. This is just me talking, but to break up with a guy you love just because a milestone in life is achieved or because of being far from home is nuts. Shoot, I had a gf in the states the whole time i was in brazil last year as a foreign exchange student and it was no big deal. Also, my college is 700 miles from home and I'm back in atlanta all the time. Hell im there now! My advice is to give the long distance romance a chance and if it dies then let it die;however the old saying absence makes the heart grow fonder is true. To cancel something you care about out of convenience or to close the books on high school like you're doing is a terrible waste of heart strings. Talk to your bf and tell him how you feel!
