Even though this is not a political forum we must still be politically aware. The Republican Party has been hijacked by religious conservatives and will impose their values on the rest of us through legislation if they come to power and create a society right out of "A Handmaiden's Tale". A perfect example is Michelle Bachman's goofball husband who operates a clinic which is supposed to make gay people straight by praying the gay away (see the South Park episode "Cartman Sucks"). We are the last group that some politicians feel free to beat up and get away with it. By not voting you have effectively voted for them by not canceling out one of their votes. Remember, tyranny triumphs when good men do nothing.

This site is for gay issues, but unless those are limited to sex, politics, particularly in the US, affects us in many ways. The right to marry among all the other rights str8s take for granted will be important in the campaign.

I was under the impression this site was for gay interest items, not a political forum.
( Personally i couldn't give a toss who your Presidetial candidates are).

Though we don't yet know who the other candidate will be, I can say that if it's any of those now in the news, who are all bigoted in one way or another, I will vote for Obama again. He certainly deserves more time to attack our long-term problems. We cannot afford to elect someone who will put the country into reverse.
